Waterford Elementary School welcomes a new principal

GOSHEN, Ind. -- The Waterford Elementary School Board met June 11 to introduce Christina Peña as the new principal for the elementary school. 

Peña has been an employee with Goshen schools since 2021 as a special education teacher and also as a Teacher on Special Assignment at Prairie View Elementary.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to lead Waterford because of the students and staff. Great things are happening at Waterford Elementary, and I want to continue the commitment to the academic achievement and personal growth of ALL students. I am excited to champion the students, teachers, and staff, to be an encouragement where needed, and to share in the successes of everyone at Waterford," states Peña. 

Peña goes on to say, "Family engagement is something I am passionate about, and I look forward to meeting and partnering with all families to further strengthen the relationship between school and home in order to provide the best education possible for our students. I'm grateful for this opportunity to lead Waterford and to continue serving our community!”
