Warsaw Police investigating suspicious package at USPS location

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. – The suspicious package placed on the dock of the United States Postal Service in Warsaw was deemed safe Thursday evening, the Times-Union in Warsaw reported.

At 2:33 p.m., the Warsaw Police Department was called to investigate reports of a suspicious package found by United States Postal Service employees at a USPS location on Market Street,

The post office was closed for the investigation.

The Times-Union reported markings on the package caused employees to be suspicious of it. 

Investigators determined the package was not dangerous to anyone once it was successfully opened and examined, according to a news release from the Police Department's Public Information Officer.
