SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- ABC57’s Jackie Bauer checked in with the local family owned, Macri’s Bakery and Trattoria on how they are preparing for their single busiest day of the year, Fat Tuesday despite the high cost of eggs being seen nationwide.
The 48-year-old bakery has made an entire season out of the traditional treat, this year available from February 14th through March 8th.
There will be extended hours on Monday, March 3rd and Tuesday, March 4th for the big day, however preorder is advised.
