To use the shelter, you must have an approved "Wants and Warrants" check from the Elkhart Police Department and bring it with you To use the shelter, you must also be able to physically care for yourself, you cannot have any sex offender or arson convictions, you must be over 18 years of age, and you cannot bring in pets.
