Snow returns Thursday PM, milder weather soon
Despite two rounds of light rain in the past 12 hours, temperatures are hitting their peaks in the low 60s this morning. Expect these values to steadily decrease throughout the day with our warmest temperatures being in the low 50s throughout the first half of Friday. Mostly cloudy skies hang overhead and a wind advisory goes into effect from 6 AM EST to 4 PM EST today. The weather starts off quietly on Saturday, but a secondary low pressure system moving along a low level jet brings rain and snow showers into Michiana in the late morning (around 9 AM EST). The rain/snow mix turns to just snow in the afternoon and becomes more scattered heading into Sunday, totaling about 1"-2" by the end of the weekend. Temperatures keep dropping from the 50s today to the low 30s by Sunday.
Today: Mostly cloudy. High 54.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Low 30.
Saturday: Rain and snow. High 38.
Sunday: Snow showers. High 30.
