ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Building Strong Brains Coalition is starting Countdown to Kindergarten, a free program meant to prepare young children with the social skills to assist them in kindergarten, in May.
On Tuesday, ABC57's Jordan Tolbert sat down with Brian Replogle, the Assistant Director of the Building Strong Brains Coalition, to discuss the program and what it does for children entering kindergarten.
The Countdown to Kindergarten program is available to students around Elkhart County slated to enter kindergarten in the Fall 2026 school year. The eight-week-long summer program is free to join and is set to start on Tuesday, May 26. More information and instructions on how to apply can be found on the Countdown to Kindergarten website.
