UPDATE: This order was cancelled for residents Monday afternoon.
ORIGINAL STORY:
WALKERTON, Ind. - The town of Walkerton is under a boil order Thursday because of a main water line break at the town's northwest industrial park.
The break happened just before noon Thursday morning.
Residents should boil their water before drinking or ingesting it.
The order is in effect through the weekend.
Town officials will be passing out free cases of water to residents at the Walkerton Police Department, 300 Illinois St. One case of water per household will be offered.
