Voluntary recall issued on certain Gerber powdered formula for potential bacteria
Perrigo Company issued a voluntary recall on some of its Gerber brand Good Start SootheProTM Powdered Infant Formula because of the potential presence of the bacteria Cronobacter sakazakii, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The recall is out of an abundance of caution, as no distributed products have tested positive for the bacteria at this time, according to the FDA.
The formula was manufactured at the Perrigo's Gateway Eau Claire, Wisconsin, manufacturing facility between January 2 and 18, 2023, and was sold to consumers nationwide.
