SAINT JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- It was vintage vibes at the Gillespie Conference Center Sunday as the community came out for the South Bend Record Show.

The record show attracted vendors from multiple states selling classic musical items such as vinyls, CDs, cassettes, and even record supplies.

ABC57 spoke with one of those vendors about why customers come back even in the new digital age.

"The biggest reason is sound quality," says vendor Barry Price. "The sound quality, especially from originals from the 70s or 80s, is so much better than Spotify and streaming it or even a new copy. If you take an album that was released in 1979, they might have just redid it in 2024 the copy from 1979 is going to sound better. It's got a richer, fuller feel to it.

Vendors say they're noticing more and more young people coming out to the record shows with attendance nearly doubling as roughly 40 vendors and 100 tables were apart of Sunday's event.

There will be upcoming record shows in October and December.
