ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind.-- Community members will gather for a vigil on Jan. 28 at 5:30 p.m. to remember an 18-year-old who was shot and killed at a Mishawaka park.
‘On-Site Prayer Ministry’ will hold the vigil at Central Park, where 18-year-old - Vincenzo Trozzy was shot and killed last month.
Trozzy was one of two people who was shot in Central Park on Dec. 15. When officers first arrived on the scene, they found two gunshot victims inside a gray jeep. One victim was near the passenger front door, later identified as Trozzy, and another victim was inside the car. Trozzy was in critical condition and on life support before he passed away.
The victim who survived the shooting told officers the incident happened during a marijuana sale that was set up on social media.
A 16 and 17 year- old were later booked on murder charges in connection with this case.
The vigil will take place at Central Park, just off Mishawaka Avenue. People are instructed to meet near the pavilion and face masks are encouraged.
