U.S. 20 lane closures begin April 15 for bridge, guardrail, pavement work

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The Indiana Department of Transportation announced U.S. 20 will have lane closures between U.S. 31 and Ironwood Drive starting on April 15.
INDOT officials say there will be alternating lane closures during daytime hours through May for bridge deck sealing, guardrail repairs, pavement repairs, and pavement markings.
This is part of the bridge deck overlay preventative maintenance projects over Miami Street and York Road that began in 2024.
Motorists should expect changing traffic patterns in the area and delays during peak times.
INDOT asks motorists to allow extra time when driving through this area and follow traffic directions carefully.
Motorists are also asked to slow down, exercise caution, and drive distraction-free through all work zones.
