Elkhart County crash sends three to the hospital Monday afternoon

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash on C.R. 15 on Monday afternoon that resulted in three people being sent to the hospital, one by helicopter. 

Authorities say 72-year-old Holly Lu Yoder, of Leesburg, was driving a 2016 Honda Accord south on C.R. 15, south of C.R. 46 around 2:22 p.m. Monday when she "drove left of center," and collided with a 2016 Chevy Impala. 

The crash caused the Chevy to roll, eventually landing upright. 

Yoder was transported to Goshen Hospital for chest pain and trouble breathing and the driver of the Impala was taken to South Bend Memorial by helicopter for back and neck pain and trouble breathing.

Authorities say their injuries are not life threatening.

A passenger in the Chevy was also taken to Goshen Hospital for a laceration to their left hand.
