UPS planning to close facility in Bourbon

BOURBON, Ind. -- UPS is expected to close several buildings in Indiana, including the facility in the Town of Bourbon. 

In a notice posted by Teamsters Local 710 on Friday, the union said they were informed by UPS Labor that the company plans on closing several buildings in Indiana, including three within Local 710's jurisdiction. 

The Indiana buildings in the union's jurisdiction are Bourbon, Crawfordsville, and Washington. 

Union officials said there's no definitive date set for the closures, but they may begin in late May.

In the notice, the union said, "Local 710 will be working out all the details over the coming weeks to keep our members working and fight for ever member's job."
