LA PORTE, Ind. -- La Porte County Sheriff's Office reported on a fatal crash from Oct. 5 at 12:33 a.m.
Deputies responded to the 4400-west block of C.R. 800 South reference a single vehicle crash.
A tan 2001 Buick was traveling west on C.R. 800 South before shifting left of center, crossing the eastbound lane and left of the south side of the roadway. The vehicle went across the lawn of a residence and crashed into a utility pole.
The collision caused the trajectory of the vehicle to change, where it crashed into a large rock before coming to a stop.
The driver, 60-year-old Douglas L. Adams, from Union Mills, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
