
BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- The Benton Township Police Department reports officers responded to the Briarwood Apartment Complex on June 29, 2024, for a reported shooting.
Officers found a man suffering two gunshot wounds, one to his leg and one to his torso.
The victim was taken to Corewell in Saint Joseph for treatment.
The suspects were identified as Kevonte Morrow and Eric Jones and were subsequently arrested.
The Berrien County Prosecutor's Office announced Morrow and Jones have both been sentenced regarding this case.
Morrow was sentenced to serve a minimum of 10 years in prison, while Jones was sentenced to serve a minimum of 20 years in prison.
