ABC 57 ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart County Sheriff's Department reports that they responded to a vehicle-crash around 9:35 p.m. on May 8.
Officers say that a 22-year-old man driving a 2008 Honda Odyssey was traveling south on CR 13, just south of CR 16. At the same time, a 47-year-old man driving a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe was travelling north on CR 13, approaching CR 16. That's when the driver of the Odyssey went left of the center line and struck the Tahoe head on.
Both drivers were found to be operating while intoxicated and were taken to Elkhart County Jail.
The driver of the Tahoe was cited for OWI-Prior and OWI-Endangerment. The driver of the Odyssey was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for a complaint of pain, was released, and transported to the Elkhart County Jail for OWI-Endangerment.
