Two arrested in Dowagiac for possession of meth

DOWAGIAC, Mich. -- Two were arrested for possession of meth during a traffic stop on Friday night.

Dowagiac Police stopped a vehicle due to an equipment violation around 9:30 p.m.

The driver was a 46-year-old man who was arrested due to an outstanding warrant for possession of meth, according to Dowagiac Police.

The passenger, a 32-year-old woman, was also arrested after police allegedly found meth on her person.

Police also searched the vehicle with K9 assistance and found a small box containing meth, allegedly belonging to the passenger.

Both subjects were taken to the Cass County Jail.

The meth charges are pending authorization from the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office and their names will be withheld pending arraignment.
