Two arrested for armed robbery at a Berrien County truck stop

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- The Berrien County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to JD’s Truck Stop at 1655 Mayflower Rd. in Buchanan Township for an armed robbery on Dec. 21, 2024, around 4:03 a.m.

The report states a masked man entered and demanded money from an employee.

Authorities say the man was armed with a pistol that was visible in his coat pocket.

Deputies say the man then fled the scene without being caught.

Authorities' investigation determined more than one suspect was involved in the robbery.

On Tuesday, detectives from the BCSO and Lincoln Township Police executed a search warrant at a residence in Lincoln Township.

Authorities say a 31-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman were subsequently arrested and taken to the Berrien County Jail for armed robbery.

The names of the suspects will be released after their arraignment.
