Cavaliers hoping to return to win column against Caston

CULVER, Ind. -- ABC57 is back in Indiana for this week's Under the Lights Game of the Week. Friday night's game is a huge opportunity for Culver to get back in the win column, against a very good Caston program.

With a record of one and four through five weeks, it would be very easy for the Cavs to pack it in, hang their heads, and start thinking about next year. But if you think there's any of that going on for culver head coach Austin Foust and his team, you'd be dead wrong.

Foust tells ABC57 there's plenty of football left to be played, and with Friday's game being a Hoosier North conference game, it holds a lot of weight for both Culver and Caston. The Cavs are currently in fifth place in the Hoosier North standings, just two spots back of the Comets, so Friday's matchup could have interesting implications for who eventually takes home the coveted conference championship at the end of the season.

Senior linebacker Drake Zorich is one of the senior leaders on a defense that needs to have a big game against Caston. He recalls last year's victory over the Comets, and knows that if they could do it once, they can do it again. But it will come down to limiting mistakes and creating big plays.

The Cavaliers and Comets will kick off at 7 p.m. from Cavalier Field.
