Traffic stop leads to drug bust and multiple arrests in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH, Ind. -- A traffic stop conducted by a Marshall county deputy on Wednesday at 9:15 p.m. in the area of the Pilot Travel Center led to the arrest of four individuals on drug-related charges, according to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office.

During the traffic stop, an open-air sniff was conducted by K9 Officer Diesel, who detected narcotic odors from inside the vehicle.

Upon initial investigation, officials say that they found suspected fentanyl inside the vehicle.

Occupants of the vehicle included 25-year-old Ashley New of Winona Lake, 30-year-old Nathan Prater also of Winona Lake, 31-year-old Cameran Carver and 29-year-old Latisha Williams, both residents of Leesburg.

All four were transported to the Marshall County Jail, where Williams was also found to be holding suspected marijuana on her person.

Each individual was booked on a count of possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug, while Williams received an additional count related to the possession of marijuana.
