Trader Joe’s announces opening date for new South Bend store

SOUTH BEND, Ind.— Trader Joe’s has announced the opening date for its new store in South Bend.
The grocery store at 1140 E. Howard Street will open on Friday, August 20, the company announced Wednesday.
It will anchor the south end of Eddy Street Commons.
Doors will open at 8 a.m. on August 20. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 7:55 a.m.
Regular store hours will be 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Alcohol sales will take place from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
The 12,500 square foot store will be the fourth location in Indiana but the first to open in Michiana.
