Trader Joe’s is coming to South Bend’s Eddy Street Commons

SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- Specialty grocery store chain, Trader Joe’s, will open a new location in South Bend at Eddy Street Commons, the University of Notre Dame and Kite Realty Group Trust announced on Monday.

The grocery store will anchor the south end of Eddy Street Commons.

The opening date has not been announced but construction is underway, according to the university. 

California-based Trader Joe's has over 500 stores across the United States.

Trader Joe's offers a variety of items including gourmet, organic, and vegetarian foods, domestic and imported wine and beer and everyday basics. 

The South Bend location will be the first Trader Joe's in Michiana.
