CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to the intersection of Leet Road and Worrell Street in Howard Township around 5:24 p.m., Thursday, for a two-vehicle crash.

The initial investigation determined a 55-year-old Niles man operating a tractor was at the intersection when he slowed to turn east onto Worrell Street.

At the same time, a vehicle, driven by a 78-year-old Niles man, attempted to pass the tractor on the left, but collided with tractor.

The tractor's driver was injured and taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
