Three-vehicle crash sends two to hospital in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports on Tuesday, July 2, around 3:23 p.m. near 16000 U.S. Highway 20 and C.R. 31, a three-vehicle crash occurred.

The report states a 2005 Ford F150, driven by 18-year-old Landon Dean of Goshen, was travelling east on U.S. Highway 20 when he crossed left of center and sideswiped a 2013 PTR Pickup, driven by 22-year-old Justin Chastain of Rensselaer.

Dean then hit the side mirror of a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country, driven by 49-year-old Loyd Arlington Dye of LaGrange.

Dean and his passenger, 36-year-old Patrick Nelson Conroy of Millersburg, were taken to Elkhart General Hospital for minor injuries.

No citations were given, and all parties involved were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
