Three suspects flee Kosciusko County traffic stop on foot, all later caught

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- A routine traffic stop Saturday resulted in one foot chase, two men being tracked down by K9 officers, and three arrests in in Kosciusko County.
Authorities say, around 12:39 a.m. on Jan. 25, an Indiana State Trooper tried to pull over a red 2003 Chevrolet SUV for an equipment violation on S.R. 13, near East Fourth Street in North Webster.
"The driver of the Chevrolet is alleged to have attempted to elude police before entering Black Rocks Trailer Park," the Indiana State Police said. "Once in the trailer park, the driver of the Chevrolet continued to drive before eventually slowing down. Before the Chevrolet came to a stop, a female passenger in the back seat exited and fled on foot. While she fled, the driver brought the Chevrolet to a stop and he and a front seat passenger also fled on foot."
The trooper then chased the woman through several yards while commanding her to stop.
Police say the woman didn't stop and continued before being tazed and taken into custody.
The woman was identified as 36-year-old Heaven Tendziegloski of Syracuse.
She is charged with Resisting Law Enforcement, a Class A Misdemeanor, Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor, as well as two active warrants for Theft.
The troopers then attempted to find the two men.
A trooper and his K9 partner, Daisy, tracked one of the men to a wooded area over two miles from the initial traffic stop.
The man, identified as 35-year-old Tye Sommers of Syracuse, is also the alleged driver of the Chevy.
Sommers was arrested for Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle, a Level 6 Felony, and Resisting Law Enforcement, a Class A Misdemeanor.
The report states A K9 officer from the Winona Lake Police Department then arrived to help track down the remaining passenger.
After another extensive K9 track, police say they found the man hiding in a wooded area over a mile from the traffic stop.
The man, identified as 49-year-old Travis Vanover of Syracuse, was taken into custody and arrested for Resisting Law Enforcement, a Class A Misdemeanor, an active warrant for Driving While Suspended-Prior, and a Probation Violation.
The three suspects were all taken to the Kosciusko County Jail.
