Three arrested on drug charges in Mason Township identified
CASS COUNTY, Mich.-- The Cass County Sheriff's Office has identified three of the four people arrested following a two state pursuit and brief standoff last Sunday.
The pursuit of a 34-year-old suspect began in Elkhart County and crossed into Cass County at 2:25 p.m. Sunday, February 17.
The 34-year-old man drove to a residence in the 21000 block of Channel Parkway and barricaded himself inside, deputies said.
After nearly an hour of negotiations, the 34-year-old suspect exited the home and surrendered.
Deputies said the suspect was driving a stolen vehicle.
Deputies obtained a search warrant and searched the home.
The four people inside the home, Joshua Butler 40, Tamara Tierney 30, a 29 year old female and, Viktoria Salveson 18, were secured while the search was conducted.
While searching the home, detectives found over $4,000 in cash, a gallon sized Ziploc of marijuana, a bag containing cocaine, an ounce of methamphetamine and methamphetamine paraphernalia, deputies said.
Two vehicles reported stolen from Indiana were also located at the residence.
Butler was taken to the Cass County Jail on a preliminary charge of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Tierney was taken to the Cass County Jail on a preliminary charge of possession with intent to distribute marijuana and cocaine.
Salveson was taken to the Cass County Jail on a preliminary charge of possession of methamphetamine.
The 34 year old male from Elkhart, who led deputies on the pursuit, was transported to Elkhart by Elkhart County deputies.
Charges against the 34-year-old male are pending.
