'Then and Now: A Downtown South Bend Architectural Walking Tour' on Friday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- DTSB invites community members to join in on an informative guided walking tour of South Bend's landmark buildings, exploring their history and present-day use.

The architectural walking tours take place on first Fridays from May through October.

The tour is on Friday, July 5, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Steve Szaday, with the St. Joseph County Department of Infrastructure, Planning, and Growth, gives the tours in conjunction with the Historic Preservation Commission of South Bend and St. Joseph County.

The cost for these tours is $10 per person, cash only.

The tour will meet at 6 p.m. at the American Trust Company clock, at the corner of Washington and Michigan Streets, in front of Cafe Navarre.

The remaining tour dates are August 2, September 6, and October 4.

September and October's tours will be of the West Washington Historic District.
