The RV Hall of Fame hosts 'Kids Who Cook' Fundraiser
ELKHART, Ind. -- The RV Hall of Fame in Elkhart held their 'Kids Who Cook' Fundraiser, and some little chefs got to try their hand at making some delicious dishes and sweet treats.
The event allowed kids ages five to eighteen to create their best dish and a variety of different options were made by them.
Everything from baked desserts to Italian food, everyone was vying to get crowned master chef.
"We wanted a fundraiser that really brought all the families together but put an emphasis on the kids and showing them that it's really a great thing to give back to something that gives you so much. So, we're kind of instilling that philanthropic spirit early on. So, you know, all of these kids have been campaigning to their families and their friends to say, vote for me and for that Top Chef award. It's really been kind of a fun thing," stated Executive Artistic Director at Premier Arts Craig Gibson.
People who showed up for the fundraiser were the ones voting to crown the best chef, a competition that also bred friendship as participants tried each other's creations.
Winners of the competition were:
- Top Chef: M&M Bailey - Meredith and Morgan Bailey
- People's Choice: Curtain Call Cooks - Luke and Cora Pianowski
- Best Food Presentation: The Potters - Kayla, Sam, and Avery New
- Best Booth Presentation: Leah and Poppy's Sweet Treats - Leah Stump and Penelope Schoetzow
