LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The La Porte County Sheriff’s Office reports two 17-year-old boys have been arrested following a criminal investigation.

Authorities say on Jan. 5, a witness came forward to report a sexual offense.

The witness stated they saw sexual acts being performed on Nov. 1, 2025, at a rural La Porte County residence.

A criminal investigation was then initiated.

During the investigation, detectives identified and interviewed the 17-year-old victim and interviewed additional witnesses.

Detectives then identified the suspects, obtained evidence, and gathered further pertinent information related to the case.

Investigation findings were then forwarded to the La Porte County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office during the first week of February.

Probable cause was found in La Porte County Circuit Court, and the two suspects were direct filed as adults, according to official documents.

They were each charged with Rape, a Level 3 Felony.

Felony arrest warrants were issued, and both suspects have since been located, taken into custody, and booked into the La Porte County Juvenile Services Center.
