Teen driver cited after two-vehicle crash

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports on Wednesday, June 26, around 3:37 p.m., a two-vehicle crash occurred near 67819 S.R. 15.

Authorities say a 2007 Pontiac G6, driven by a 17-year-old boy from Bristol, and a 2016 Toyota Cienna, driven by a Goshen woman, were traveling east on U.S. 20 approaching C.R. 33.

The Sienna stopped, intending to turn north onto C.R. 33.

The report states the Bristol teen was following too closely and did not stop in time.

He then rear-ended the Sienna.

The teen driver had a passenger, identified as a15-year-old girl, who was treated for a cut to her chin but signed off.

The 17-year-old was cited for following too close.
