ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. - The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports around 7:02 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, officers responded to a crash involving a bicycle and car at C.R. 15 and C.R. 45.

The report states a 2020 Chevy Suburban was travelling north on C.R. 15 at the intersection of C.R. 45.

The report goes on to state the Chevy failed to yield to the right-of-way of the bicyclist who was travelling west on C.R. 45 on the sidewalk.

The bicyclist entered the intersection where the collision occurred with the Chevy's front passenger's side.

The driver, identified as a 44-year-old Goshen woman, was cited for failing to yield to the right-of-way and stated she didn't see the bicyclist.

The bicyclist, identified as a 16-year-old Ekhart boy, had complaints of knee pain but refused medical treatment.
