UPDATE: SBPD confirming that three people have been transported to the hospital for injuries.

There is no word on their condition at this time.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Saint Joseph County dispatch has confirmed with ABC57 that the South Bend Police Department is responding to the report of "shots fired" in the 1300 Block of Bissell Street.

The call coming in at 11 p.m. Sept. 19, with the scene still currently active.

Police are asking the public to avoid the area at this time.
