SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The suspect of a shooting that occurred Feb. 22 on W. Fisher has been arrested, according to officials from the South Bend Police Department.
On Feb. 22 at approximately 1:00 p.m., a 41-year-old man was discovered on W. Fisher Street with wounds to the legs and torso.
According to a press release Feb. 26, the 41-year-old victim of the shooting is in stable condition.
Police followed up on a possible suspect at a home in the 100 block of Elm Street Feb. 25 and discovered a 16-year-old shooting suspect and three other people.
With a search warrant, authorities discovered multiple guns in the home, some of which were reported stolen in Michigan and Indiana.
The South Bend Police Department Crime Lab is processing the stolen firearms police discovered.
The South Bend Police Investigative Bureau, 2nd Detail Patrol, and the Goshen Police Department assisted in the investigation.
