Suspect arrested for his role in burglary at Dainty Maid Food Hall

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - 37-year-old Adam Spencer has been arrested for their connection with an early-Monday morning burglary at the Dainty Maid Food Hall restaurant.

The St. Joseph County Police Department were originally called out to the location on Monday morning after employees advised that several items from the restaurant, including more than 40 bottles of alcohol, keys, a computer, and a jacket, were missing.

They were later called back when the business believed they identified a potential suspect.

Surveillance video showed a suspect inside the business taking items around 3:00 a.m. EST.

Upon arriving on scene to review the tapes, officials made contact with the suspect, who was sitting on a nearby bench. His clothes matched the video, and he was also near a large pile of belongings, which included some of the missing items from the burglary.

After an investigation, officials found that the suspect also had a pending warrant. He was promptly arrested and taken to the St. Joseph County Jail.

He has since been charged with two felonies of Theft and Burglary.

All persons are presumed innocent unless convicted in a court of law.
