SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- October is Radon Awareness Month and the St. Joseph County Department of Health (SJCDH) is pushing the community to be aware of the odorless and invisible gas that can affect your health in many ways.
ABC57's Summer Horan sat down with Jessica Dilling, an Environmental Health Specialist with SJCDH, to discuss why radon gas is found in one-in-four homes in St. Joseph County, how frequently you should check your home for it, and how to get a free radon testing kit.
For more information, you can visit the St. Joseph County Department of Health's website.
