SPOKANE, Wash. - A student was shot and killed Wednesday at a high school near Spokane, Washington.
Police say the suspect in custody but have not confirmed the identity of that suspect or whether he is a student.
According to KXLY in Spokane, the suspect entered the school and tried to shoot one gun, which jammed. He then pulled out another weapon and shot and killed a student who tried to stop him.
He allegedly shot three other students, who were taken to a nearby hospital. The hospital says all of them are doing well and are expected to survive. One of the teens will undergo surgery Wednesday.
Police confirm there was only one shooter. They say a "very courageous" act by a staff member stopped the shooter. They also say the shooting appears to be the result of bullying.
