Studebaker Speaker Series will present Frank Lloyd Wright & the Automobile
The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The History Museum is host to the 'Studebaker Speaker Series' and on Wednesday, May 20, everyone is invited to Frank Lloyd Wright & the Automobile, presented by Brandon J. Anderson, CEO of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum.
This presentation explores Wright’s lifelong fascination with automobiles, highlighting both his personal experiences and the influence of automotive design on his broader creative vision.
Wright saw the rise of the automobile as a transformative force—one that enabled greater connection to the natural world while reflecting the same principles of form, function, and beauty that defined his architectural philosophy.
Attendees will gain insight into Wright’s admiration for the Cord L-29—a vehicle he praised for its harmonious proportions and logical beauty—as well as his ownership of other distinguished marques, including Bentley, Jaguar, Packard, Cadillac, and Mercedes-Benz.
The History Museum is located at 808 West Washington Street, South Bend, Indiana.
