Happy last day of summer!
After a brief lull in the rain this afternoon, scattered showers and storms are expected to redevelop this evening. There's a low-end risk for isolated strong storms, with the primary threats being heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and the potential for small hail. Overnight temperatures will dip into the 60s. Daily rain chances continue throughout the week, helping to bring temperatures down to more seasonable highs as we officially welcome astronomical fall tomorrow. While the much-needed rain will help slow the progression of our expanding drought in Michiana, it won’t be enough to fully alleviate the dryness. Highs will hover in the 70s for most of the week. As of now, the weekend looks dry and more fall-like.
Tonight: Stormy early, lingering showers. Low 62.
Monday: Scattered shower and storm chances. High 74.
Tuesday: Chance for some showers. High 76.
Wednesday: Chance for showers. High 74.
