NORTH LIBERTY, Ind. - Multiple roads that were shut down near North Liberty after a major gas main break have reopened.
A contractor apparently ruptured the NIPSCO natural gas line while doing construction work Tuesday afternoon.
The gas leak forced the complete closure of State Road 23 just south of North Liberty but it is now reopen.
There are also closures along State Road 4 in the area as some smaller county roads as well.
NIPSCO reopened the roads just after 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
John Glenn schools delayed classes for two hours because of the leak.
