State police investigating deaths in rural LaGrange County

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. – Detectives from the Indiana State Police Fort Wayne Post are investigating the death of two people at a home in LaGrange County.

Shortly before 8 a.m. Monday, the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department received a welfare check request at a residence in the 7000 block of N. County Road 675 West in Scott.

During the welfare check, deputies discovered the bodies of an adult male and an adult female inside the home.

The LaGrange County Coroner’s Office identified the two deceased victims as 36-year-old Ashley Lynn Hargrove and 38-year-old Adam Brian Leslie, both of Shipshewana.

Deputies secured the home and requested the help of detectives from the Fort Wayne Post.

So far, detectives believe this was an isolated domestic incident involving the two deceased victims.

Detectives say that at this time, facts and circumstances do not suggest any other individuals were involved.

Autopsies are scheduled to be performed in Fort Wayne later this week.

This is an active criminal investigation.
