S.R. 10 and US 31 intersection to be reconstructed in 2028 over safety concerns
INDOT ARGOS, Ind. -- In March, the Indiana Department of Transportation released a document titled US 31 Corridor Projects in Marshall & Fulton Counties, which discussed the proposed reconstruction of several intersections, including US 31 and S.R. 10.
The INDOT document states there are currently seven alternate designs under consideration for the troubled intersection.
Paraphrased public comments included minimizing conflict points, providing safety for students, buses, and staff, and the safety of children, Amish, and farmers as a top priority.
On Tuesday, the Argos Community Development Corporation released a new episode of "Inside Argos" where Argos Town Council President Ed Barcus sat down to discuss the intersection at S.R. 10 and US 31.
Barcus discussed the call to action over safety concerns.
This conversation comes after a recent crash was caught on police dashcam and a fatal two-vehicle crash at the intersection.
