SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Spirited, the New Orleans inspired bar on Michigan street in South Bend, is now open.
The bar originally closed down last December, unable to hang on amid the pandemic.
The bar has since been taken over by the Navarre Hospitality Group.
With new ownership and a new look, the bar is now reopen, hoping to bring its unique vibe to downtown south bend.
New owner Kurt Janowsky of Navarre Hospitality Group said “We really believe in downtown South Bend and especially the central business districts, so we didn’t wanna see this place be dark and the storefront be empty.”
Janowksy also said “We waited. We took over first of the year and waited until now to open. Really there was no reason to open until things got a little better with COVID.”
The bar officially reopened its doors to the public last night.
