Spectrum Health Lakeland holding virtual interviews Tuesday

NILES, Mich.— Spectrum Health Lakeland, among many other employers in southwest Michigan are hosting virtual hiring events. There are over 2,200 available jobs available, with the goal of getting the public back to work and staffing numbers back up. 

“I think for us, like any other health care organizations throughout the nation, we are seeing that it’s been a long last two years and we are really trying to make sure that we continue to provide the best service possible to our community and make sure we’re staffed fully and properly,” Spectrum Health Talent Acquisition Manager Juan Carlos Hernandez said. 

The virtual hiring event is hosted by Michigan Works! of Berrien, Cass, Van, and specializes in educating, training and employing individuals of all ages. They are helping fill in the gaps in workplaces with 15-minute phone interviews.  

If you are interested in attending the hiring event, you can expect to discuss job opportunities, qualifications, and experience to determine if you’re a good fit with one of the employers.

Spectrum Health Lakeland is holding their hiring interviews today, February 1, from 9 AM until 4:30 PM for full and part-time Nurse Technicians. 

“We’re hoping and Specifically looking for positions like nurse technicians, but we do have a wide array of roles throughout all of spectrum health Lakeland that we are filling so if anyone is interested in maybe finding a new opportunity to support their local hospitals, support their local community we are willing to defiantly interview them and see where they fit right,” Hernandez said. “A lot of people are reevaluating. What is it that I am doing? What’s my job? What am I trying to find and is there a possibility to have a career, something that is tied to purpose? So, I think those who work in health, the purpose is visible. The impact we are having is so profound so it’s a great opportunity for anyone who really wants to have that feeling of purpose.” 

Spectrum Health Pine Ridge is holding their interviews on February 7, from 9 AM until 4 PM for Certified Nursing Assistants. 

The Berrien County Juvenile Center will host their interviews on February 8 until February 10 from 9 AM until 5 PM, and are hiring a full and part-time Director, Youth Specialist, Temporary Secretary, and Cook. 

Arcadia Home Care & Staffing is hosting their interviews on February 10 from 10 AM until 3 PM and are hiring Home Health Aides and Certified Nursing Assistants.
