SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Tuesday marked the first day of Spark in the Park at Potawatomi Park in South Bend.
The free program is held each Tuesday through June and July and teaches kids about a variety of different topics in an interactive way.
This week, kids started learning about how to grow plants, and even painted their own terracotta pots.
Next week, participants can bring back their pots to plant herbs in.
The program is always free to area kids.
Spark in the Park is held June 6 through July 25 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Chris Wilson Pavilion at Potawatomi Park.
