SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Indiana Toll Road posted an alert saying there has been an incident at the 72.5 westbound (West of South Bend Notre Dame exit 77). The westbound exit ramp to South Bend West, exit 72, is closed.

Indiana State Police say that a semi-truck that was carrying ethanol glycol (a highly toxic substance commonly used as automotive antifreeze) was leaking, hazmat crew is currently on the scene working to clean up the spill.

Emergency crews are on scene, and no injuries have been reported.  

UPDATE: As of 8:30 a.m., the westbound exit ramp to South Bend West, exit 72, is now open
