ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the beginning of road construction on US 33 between Goshen and Dunlap.

Starting on or after March 23, crews will be working on milling and paving U.S. 33 between Pleasant Avenue in Goshen and Glenmore Avenue in Dunlap. There will also be minor structure work taking place. Work on the project is expected to be complete by the beginning of September. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.

During construction, drivers can expect alternating lane closures in both directions of U.S. 33. Some work will also take place at night to help minimize traffic impacts.

INDOT encourages drivers to consider safety for all by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when travelling in and around all work zones.
