UPDATE: South Shore trains are back on the move following pole fire

UPDATE: As of 7:46 p.m., Thursday, all South Shore trains are on the move again after a pole fire in Hegewisch delayed or stopped trains indefinitely. 

The local fire department responded to the scene, confirming the initial incident involved a brush fire. 

No injuries were reported, and the fire department has since cleared the scene and released train travel.

ORIGINAL STORY: South Shore Line trains are stopped or delayed currently due to a pole fire in Hegewisch. 

Eastbound Trains 117 and 119 are stopped.

Train 121 and all trains departing after 121 have not left Millenium Station. 

Westbound trains 228 and 30 are stopped. 

The time of the delay is not known at this time.

The South Shore Line will provide updates as more information becomes available.
