South Shore temporarily closes 11th st. station in Michigan City

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- Starting Saturday at 3 a.m., the South Shore 11th St. Station and parking lots in Michigan City will be closed.
The station will be closed for re-construction to include a multi-story station/parking/retail building, new high-level platforms and track improvements.
The closure is expected to be for two and a half years until the completing the double track.
Michigan City Carroll Avenue Station will be open and in service as an alternative to the 11th st. station.
