South Shore Line releases rider survey
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Shore Line released a letter today, June 28, to line riders in regard to the recent issues that they have been facing in service disruptions, with the most recent being a gas leak causing delays.
"We know that extended train delays during events like this are very frustrating to our riders, and we are always looking to minimize them whenever possible," stated President of South Shore Line Michael Noland. " Unfortunately, busing around this gas leak was not an option. We contacted all available bus companies in our service region, and no one had drivers available."
Noland goes on to say, " During the outage, we updated our riders with the latest information from NIPSCO regarding service restoration. Unfortunately, the times given to us by the on-site NIPSCO team regarding service restoration were overly optimistic."
The South Shore Line has issued a rider survey in the hopes of receiving input from riders on ways they can address your concerns and take suggestions.
