UPDATE (2:43pm): The South Bend Police Department has identified the victim as 26-year-old Raejuan Jones of South Bend. 

His family has been notified.

Jones' autopsy is schduled for Tuesday in Kalamazoo.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police responded to a shot spotter activation call around 9:10 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of West Indiana Avenue. 

An officer in the area on an unrelated call responded to the scene and discovered a male victim near Indiana Avenue and Taylor Street suffering from a gunshot wound.

That so-far unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The South Bend Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit is handling the investigation.
